wait, you guys REALLY have just two parties competing with eachother?

How come even krautistan can afford to have multiple very different parties to choose from while with burgers you just have one corrupt group of billionaires compete with another corrupt group of billionaires?

>Still believes in the le big bad billionaires after this administration

Where were the profit hungry, ruthless billionaires when trump put tariffs on everything? Where are they now that Trump blocked the strait of Hormuz with his Iran war? Why doesn't Trump attack the houthis instead who are blocking world trade through the Suez?

In reality, the only big ebil billionaire was Elon musk who bought the worlds most popular social media to boost support for his chosen candidate (Trump). But I'm sure soroz has done something similar!
Politislop shit no one cares about

Anywhere that has "more than two" parties realistically only has two parties and all the others are irrelevant or just combine with the two major ones. Also
>implying your vote matters anyways regardless of number of parties

Canada is a good example of this, there are "three parties" but two of them (liberal and I wanna say green?) work together so the conservative party stands no chance, and the two liberal parties just do the same shit anyways. And the conservative party actually has to become even more liberal just to try and win some appeal, so it's even worse than 2 parties and it's more like 1.5 parties.

Voting in general doesn't really work and we should go back to being a republic tbh

There is literally nothing wrong with thematically overlapping parties cooperating.

If anything, it directly works against the divide-and-conquer attempts ((( they ))) are trying to use on societies across the globe

Acktchewally we only have one party.

Would rule by a single machine god which only acted in accordance to real-time public opinion not be more democratic than a parliamentary system of some arbitrary number of representatives, human fallibility and interest-seeking not excluded? It's kind of a dumb hypothetical, democracy, that is.

I've known plenty of people to say the abbreviations of swears out loud. Heck, I'm fairly certain a younger cousin of mine said, "MF!" out loud at her graduation party a few weeks ago.

It's not that I doubt that, somebody drawing a character they seem to like doing that was just slightly surprising and upsetting to me. Ennehweh, you should kill your cousin.

Hmm. What do you not like about it?
I don't see it as being much different than classical swear-avoidance, such as, "zounds," or whatever.

It's an encroachment of the internet upon IFL, it feels... profane. I can easily imagine the oldfag "Do not talk about /b/ outside of /b/" thing was as much about keeping it a more contextualised, "sacred" experience as it was about maintaining its obscurity.
Replies: >>112578
>>112575
While I agree with much of the sentiment, I don't really associate swear abbreviation that heavily with internet/texting culture, myself. While abbreviation is obviously convenient to save keystrokes and bypass filters, the practice predates the popularization of current communications technology. There are videos of my dad saying, "GD," in the 80s. And, of course, more generally, "Eff you," has quite the history.
Replies: >>112584
>>112578
Nobody said 'MF' in particular before the internet and it was only popularised after people felt uncomfortable using 'nigga' in 2015-17 memes and it wasn't certain how hard the Woke apparatus would be going after it. Of course abbreviating swears in general has been a thing for a while.
