Anyone here up for some some Risk of Rain 2?

I've seen it mentioned a few times here and its one of my favorite games so thought id see if anyone's interested before the foo goes the way of the dodo

I'm usually free after 6pm west coast time but sometimes i can rearrange my schedule if i know a bit ahead of time.

just to set the ball rolling ill preemptively schedule a game this coming friday at 7pm and see if that works for yous

could also stream it on yt if anyone would just wanna watch idk

my preference would be to vc cuz i think it makes the game more fun and i like to chat but s up to u i s'pose

ill be out for awhile but will check back in on this in a few hours. lookin forward to it!

Risk of rain 2 is fun, I'm down. Not sure about the DLCs, I don't think I have any of the recent ones and they (from what I heard) might be bad. 
Any plans for mods, or just sticking to base game?

first and third dlc were pretty good and the 2nd took awhile but its been patched up. 
i enjoy them all but im down to enable/disable whatever according to preference. (only one party member has to have them to work)
i prefer vanilla but im open to mods if most of the ppl playing want em

if the regular stage based mode is too punishing for new or returning players there's a wave based mode that lets dead players return regularly as long as one person survives. its pretty fun and gives a chance learn about item functionality and combos

Just did a sample run today on monsoon to remember how to play and yeah I'm fine doing vanilla. I don't particularly care for dlc unless it adds really weird mechanics, it's the kind of thing we could do some other day after playing vanilla for a while

im down to play anytime really, just chose friday cuz a specific date makes it feel more solid to people.

Actually, do we need a mod to play with more than 4 players or does the base game let you do that now, I remember from the early modding days that maybe only the host needs it if so?

there's actually console commands that let you extend the max player count in base game
ive not used em recently so if that doesnt work yeah i think only the host has to have the mod
