Besides drawing more, how do I improve at anatomy and "right" proportions? Currently I wing it with no idea if I'm doing it right or not besides it feeling "nice". I also feel like my stuff is flat, I would draw a torso as a box instead of a cylinder but even when I do try it still lacks "volume".

Study the masters!
I cannot recommend it enough. The best suggestion I can give you is to read though and study someone like George B. Brigman or Michael Hampton. They have many books with hundreds of pages full of demonstrations and basically tutorials.

Now, obviously you're gonna have to draw to really grasp anatomy, so I suggest opening up one of their books, going through them and try to replicate what he's doing onto your own paper. Don't trace, freehand it.
