Not the exact same thing, but the principle is the same: pointless stuff to click on that literally does nothing, but its introduction marginally increased satisfaction metrics (in this case, it was a reduction in reports received).

the alternative is going the battlebit route, it might not affect your game in the short term when its the fotm but in the long term it definitely hurts player retention to apply that kind of moderation to it
