You saying he’ll ban tor or something?
Replies: >>114136 >>114179
>>114131
by the way, it is spelled Tor. spelling it TOR is a total self-report

Yes. It is what imageboard admins do. We are routinely driven from our lands. Can't have those evil criminals around these wholesome parts, can we?

>Why is it called Tor
>Doesn't explain why it's called Tor

idk anything else about you but just for this I'll support whatever the frog does

why isn't it The Onion Routing network
Replies: >>114145
>>114142
because onion and routing are not proper nouns?

It was a compromise if I remember right so we could ban VPNs, Aldoe I think VPNs should still be able to lurk.
>>114151
what was a compromise so you could ban vpns?

Idgw there needs to be bans on vpns and Tors dough? Is it to prevent ban subversions and raids?

Why do you need to use Tor? If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear.

Life finds a way.
Some people have their reasons for posting indirectly and while it may not be as simple as just booting up tor you will figure something out I'm certain.
Perhaps a deal can be struck with the admins. An account system is already in place. Perhaps they can whitelist posts made from certain accounts.
Replies: >>114173
>>114156
To stop people posting links.
>>114154
Tor nodes we can identify so we don’t accidentally whitelist your ip.
>>114164
That already exists but nobody bothers making an account either way
Replies: >>114177 >>114180
>>114173
Yea, that's the thing. There is no incentive to (not that there should be). But perhaps for someone who can't post because he connects from a nordvpn node or something it could be a way out.
I reckon the account feature would also come into play if the website gained too much unnecessary attention and would at times go into lockdown mode; regulars having verified accounts could be a sure way of making certain they aren't inconvenienced in any way.
anyways we are getting way off topic

>>114134
purrgem as staff are you in contact with toad? if so can you get toad to (with ## Global Staff on) state plainly whether tor will be banned or tor will not be banned?
Replies: >>114181
>>114151
Oh, this is why I randomly get blocked and have to reroll for a different server. And no, you can't lurk on certain VPN servers anymore. Cuckflare or whatever the fuck just straight up tells you to piss off.
>>114173
Is account usage really that low? I don't see why those of us who do use them should suffer because of it.
Replies: >>114181
>>114179
I do not have direct contact with toad.
>>114180
Yea you should be able to lurk with VPNs IMO, post with them if you make an account. We just don’t want to accidentally whitelist a vpn ip and have someone take advantage of that.

what a mysterious admin. i guess they realize if they actually talk to us and tell us about the changes they are going to make we will have a chance to actually coordinate the exodus beforehand, whereas this way we might be able to be, well, frogboiled?

sad that this is how it ends - not with a bang

JFC this place doesn't even require you to link a gmail account, it's as user-friendly as it gets. Posting here while obfuscating your real IP is not exactly rocket science with or without Tor (developed by US DoD btw); getting hung up on it is a midwit take at best.

I don't know, but please restrain him at once. I've only kind of glanced the thread and it's activating my amygdala and it may just spread amongst the rest of us mentally ill freaks.

The new admin will get to do whatever he wants, and can so because the artists will be okay with his changes.

floof allowing tor feels like an accident at best so i fully expect the shakeup of being hosted on a new box to result in a checkbox being absentmindedly/automagically toggled in the cloudflare config or such and boom badda bing its over forever and ever

It was on purpose for the privacy obsessed furanons.

then why do you ban random exit nodes in cloudflare?
where are you getting this info from? i'm not going to ban TOR unless some severe site abuse happens.
